STARFISH MISSION INFORMATION
At PNW Insurance Group, we want to make a difference! Perhaps, it will only be one person, one mission, or one act of kindness at a time, but it matters. We are getting involved with those in need.
The Starfish Mission is our mission and our way of making a difference.
Have you heard the story of the Starfish on the beach?
Allow us to share a bit...
One day a man was walking along the beach, when he noticed a boy hurriedly picking up and gently throwing things into the ocean.
Approaching the boy, he asked, “Young man, what are you doing?”
The boy replied, “Throwing starfish back into the ocean. The surf is up and the tide is going out. If I don’t throw them back, they’ll die.”
The man laughed to himself and said, “Don’t you realize there are miles and miles of beach and hundreds of starfish? You can’t make any difference!”
After listening politely, the boy bent down, picked up another starfish, and threw it into the surf. Then, smiling at the man, he said …
“I made a difference to that one."

We believe that regardless of the number of people we can help or the amount of money we raise, that every little bit we do matters to someone. That is what motivates us to carry on the work of the Starfish Mission. Helping those around us the best we can.

In 2022 - We almost hit $5000!! Our team, and our community partners were able to give time or donations to;

- Coat Drive - New Hope Resource Center, Tacoma Rescue Mission and Coffee Oasis
- Sumner Main St Fire Fund
- Monroe Food Bank
- Gift Bags for those in need
- New Beginnings
- Puget Sound Pet Food Bank & Sunny Skies Silent Auction
- Our referral donations went to:

- Ronald McDonald House
- Sunny Skies Animal Rescue
- Courageous Connections Equine Therapy
- Camp Leo for Children with Diabetes
- In 2021
- In our 2020 Giving Back Campaign, we were able to donate a total of $3040 to Puyallup Food Bank, Rebuilding South Sound, Vine Maple Place, Sunny Sky's Animal Rescue, Maple Valley Food Bank, and Exodus Housing! Thank you so much for your referrals!
